Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026 · CourseVista · ABN 63 310 893 546

CourseVista builds cinematic golf-hole films from photography that clubs already hold. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Who we are

CourseVista (ABN 63 310 893 546) operates from Adelaide, South Australia and works with golf clubs nationally. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean CourseVista.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

When you make an enquiry, request an assessment or commission a project, we collect:

Payment information

We never see or store your card details. Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into fields hosted by Stripe and are transmitted to Stripe, not to us. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and a transaction reference.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — for security and reliability. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this site.

If we host a course guide for your club, we may record aggregate view counts per hole. These counts are not linked to identifiable individuals.

3. Why we collect it

We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to, and we do not sell personal information to anyone, ever.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run CourseVista:

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia. By using this site and engaging our services you consent to that transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure each provider handles information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to enforce our agreements.

5. Course photography and delivered films

Photography you send us is used to produce your project. We may retain source material for the duration of the project and a reasonable period afterwards so we can re-cut or reissue films.

We will not publish your club's films or name as a reference without your permission. If you have agreed to be featured, you can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing us.

6. How long we keep it

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. The site is served over HTTPS, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, and access to client records is limited to people who need it to do the work.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email business@coursevista.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at business@coursevista.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

10. Visitors from overseas

If you contact us from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Our lawful basis for processing is performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry. Email us to exercise any of these rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at this address, with the revision date shown at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be notified by email.
